Dr. Gary E. Lacefield
Dr. Gary E. Lacefield earned both a Bachelors and Masters of Business Administration from Dallas Baptist University and a Doctorate in Supervision, Administration and Conflict Resolution from Texas A&M Commerce.
For the past twenty-five years, Dr. Lacefield has worked in both the federal and private sectors regarding financial regulatory related issues. In addition, Dr. Lacefield created and implemented a course of study for Resolving Conflict. This course has been approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools as well as 36 state Bar Associations. The Conflict Resolution programs provide training and certification in Mediation and Arbitration. Dr. Lacefield is on the faculty of both Dallas Baptist University and the University of Texas at Arlington. He also serves on several non-profit boards.
Jerry Thomas
Jerry Thomas currently serves as the Vice President of Land Development for Taurus of Texas GP, LLC. Before joining Taurus, Mr. Thomas spent 30 years with Acme Brick, primarily in sales and sales management. He has an exhausting list of accolades, awards, and honors from his unparalleled commitment to his industry and community.
Most impressively, Mr. Thomas has served as Chairman of Associates Council Board of Directors and Vice President of Executive the Board of Directors for the Tarrant County Home Builder Association. As well, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Certified Master Builder, as the President of Sales and Marketing Executives of Ft. Worth, and on the Board of Directors for the Texas Association of Builders. His expertise in the development and home construction industries is a priceless addition to the Halo team.
Kevin Christian
Kevin Christian is a corporate attorney and consultant specializing in structuring and capitalization of start-up ventures and growth companies. He spent seven years working in state government, culminating with service as Executive Director for Governor Rick Perry’s West Texas Office of Economic Development and Tourism. Mr. Christian joined Abilene Christian University serving as Associate General Counsel and ACU Foundation Officer. He went on to launch and fund a business accelerator with the university’s College of Business Administration, holding the title of Director of Entrepreneurship Programs.
Mr. Christian has maintained a part-time consulting and legal practice, with his consulting work now housed in the firm Purposed Group, LLC. During his professional career he has served as a strategic role-player with over 50 companies and has served as a principal in four companies. Mr. Christian is also an active board member of several local non-profit organizations in Abilene, Texas where he resides.
Tim Brown
Tim Brown is a former wide receiver for the National Football League. He played college football for Notre Dame, where he won the Heisman Trophy. Mr. Brown was selected by the Los Angeles Raiders with the 6th overall pick of the 1988 NFL Draft. He spent 16 years with the Raiders, during which he established himself as one of the League’s most prolific wide receivers. His fame and success with the Raider’s organization earned him the title, Mr. Raider.
Mr. Brown is a 9-time Pro Bowl selection, 1987 Heisman Trophy Winner (first wide receiver to win the award), 1987 Walter Camp Award Winner and was part of the NFL 1990’s All Decade Team. He is a Fox Sports Network NFL Analyst and has been featured on Comcast’s “Pro Football Now”, “News America” and various Superbowl broadcasts.
Mr. Brown is heavily involved in the “9-1-1 for Kids” program which teaches children emergency preparedness. He is also ambassador to the President’s Physical Fitness Council and is currently starting a NASCAR racing team as part of their Drive for Diversity program. Mr. Brown is happily married with four children.
